This sale is for one kit (It will complete either the front or rear of your truck. In order to have complete undercarriage coverage, you will need two of these and a mid section skid.

Everybody knows the HPI Savage is one of the best, toughest designed Nitro trucks around. However, one vulnerability the designers left open was the undercarriage section, and skid plate design. This plate covers the front (or rear) section of your truck. We also sell the center plate. (Check it out! :) One of the best things about upgrading the front plate is that you help maintain a better seal around your front and rear gear box. The standard Savage skid plates fit right around the bottom of the transmissions (under the differential). There is no additional seal, and no additional protection to block these areas from being damaged. Over time, these stock plates become warn and scratched, even warped due to crashes, and can lead to leaks into the differential area, as well as dirt and grit entering this critical location of the transmission. (A VERY EXPENSIVE AND HARD TO REPLACE PART) A stiff Aluminum plate will not undergo the damage that a plastic one will, and a tight seal is more reliably maintained.

This THICK (3 mm) very good looking, yet light weight, Silver GPM 6061 Aluminum front and/or rear section skid plate will protect all of your front and rear, as well as add rigidity to your chassis, helping maintain your trucks integrity at high speeds. This plate is FAR thicker than the others I've seen selling for less. It will also help your slide over long objects, and avoid objects that are protruding upward toward the vehicle as its moving. Because of the hard Aluminum Nature of this skid, sliding over terrain is no problem. A sharp object is traveling quickly towards your truck. It is far less likely to stick into Aluminum over plastic.

EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS INCLUDED. BRAND NEW! Its easy to install and well worth the time. Note: Some assembly/disassembly may be required. I recommend also buying the GPM Mid- Section  skid plate so all parts fit together smoothly, though its not in any way required. Email me for this part.
