HPI Savage owners know the demands the .25 and .21 HPI motor puts on the stock spur gear. Excessive engine heat at lean settings can cause the melting of stock plastic gears with ease. Engines running at over 250F pass along deadly heat through the slipper clutch, causing the core breakdown of your main drive gear system.

 

Modified engines will devastate the stock gear into shreds, and leave you out in the field with a Savage that doesn't run. Everybody has been there once. Avoid the situation entirely with durable equipment that doesn't let you down.
