Email UsManufactured by Tbonz, this complete pre-assembled kit of center 2 Constant Velocity Drive Shafts for the HPI Savage is one of the best upgrades you can make for taking your Savage to the next level. This kit is the center kit, and goes great with the other 4 main CVD's, which we also carry.
All pro grade vehicles these days come stock with CVD's because the manufacturers know how much friction takes place on the axle and drive hub. In fact, if you have owned your HPI Savage for a while now, you'll notice the wear marks on the axle hubs already. You can see where the pins on the stock dog bones have worn a curve right into the hub.
CVD's eliminate friction because of it's unique design. The axle has a cup, which is round, thus fitting into another cup which is also round. A small pin passes through each cup, reducing any play whatsoever. A set screw retains the pin.
