If your looking for the top of the line, precision milled gearbox for the Savage, look no further. Other manufacturers gearboxes are milled to their own spec, and often are inaccurate and have some imperfections. Their seals are not tight, which lead to problems such as lube contamination, and diff issues. (If applicable)
This gearbox is made according to HPI's specs, which means it exactly models the dimensional specs of their original factory equipment. Run your finger along the spine of the tranny and you'll see; the seam is minimal, and the fit is exact.

An additional benefit is the slight amount of weight it adds; and right where you need it! Since its in the center of the vehicle, the weight is distributed across all 4 tires, pushing your vehicle's center of gravity down, and your tires deeper into the ground!
